BAE Systems' cyber security division, Applied Intelligence, aims to achieve 25% year-on-year growth in the Asia-Pacific region over the next five years, the company told IHS Jane's at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur.
Richard Watson, the Asia-Pacific managing director of Applied Intelligence, said on 16 April that the division's regional hub in Malaysia - which commenced operations in late 2013 - is expected to grow significantly over the coming years in line with expanding domestic and regional demand for cyber-security services.
"We have financial and strategic targets we are aiming to hit," he said. "From a strategic perspective we are keen to get scale in a country where we are operating.
